Welcome from PTA President

Hello Bollinger Families,

Welcome to the 2009-10 school year!

This is my second year as PTA President.  I have a daughter going into first grade and a son going into fifth grade.  With my son’s last year at Bollinger, I realize that the elementary years whiz by so quickly!  It helps me appreciate more the experiences my daughter will have over the next five years.

Our PTA is a very active PTA with over 35 volunteer Board Members providing more than 25 programs and services.  Our web master has put together this comprehensive site which I hope you will take the time to explore.  By clicking on “Board Members” you will find a roster of PTA volunteers and their programs.  Under “Volunteer Opportunities” you will find a more detailed description of the services we provide and possibly find ways that you can become more involved.

As a teenager a wise person told me that what you get out of an experience depends on how much you put into it.  It took me several years before I found out about the PTA and before I became an active participant.  I have to say becoming involved in the PTA just over the last two years has given me the chance to work with an amazing group of people from the Bollinger staff and our families!  I do feel my family’s Bollinger experience has been much more enriched and I have felt much more integrated into the community.  I encourage you to find out more and to become involved in any capacity you can so you too can get more out of the few short years your children are here at Bollinger.

I look forward to working with all of you to provide fun, educational, and community-building experiences for our Bollinger Canyon School!

Jeanne Won

PTA Needs your Help!

PTA Needs Your Help and Involvement:
Become part of the 2010-11 PTA School Board!

The PTA is planning ahead to the 2010-11 school year. Due to a two-year term limit and to folks “graduating” from Bollinger, we have six elected PTA positions and several committee chair positions open for next year. The only requirement for filling one of these positions is a willingness to get involved! No experience is necessary!
It has been an invaluable experience to work with our enthusiastic Bollinger staff, our supportive Principal, and an involved Bollinger community. PTA programs benefit our children and are only possible through the volunteer efforts of people like yourself.   Please consider taking on the rewarding challenge of becoming a part of the Bollinger PTA Board.
