Welcome to the 2008 - 2009 School Year

 Dear Bollinger Community,

It is my great pleasure to officially welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year. I am looking forward to carrying on a wonderful relationship with all of you and your children, and meeting new families as they become a part of this wonderful learning community.

I am excited about our new Superintendent and the insight and positive leadership that he will be providing us for the future. He has expressed his eagerness and desire to meet all of his school communities so I hope to be bringing him in to meet all of you at some time in the near future.

There are some exciting changes on campus this year. We have added a 1st grade special day class as we continue to expand as a flow through program for these very special children. The teacher for this class is Shannon Buran. Also due to increased enrollment in this area, we have added a 2/3 combination class which will be taught by Eileen Healey.

There will be some additional new faces on campus including Cristy Schaad who will be job sharing with Karen Hoskins, and a new Kindergarten teacher, Laura Twitchell. You will also see new faces on campus as we add Para support staff for different programs on campus.

Our school continues in its excellence in academic achievement with the release of the 2007/2008 star test results. We will be examining the data over the next few weeks and looking at ways to continue our growth and improvement during this current school year.

The combined efforts of faculty, parents, and support staff all contribute to the success of our students. Please look for opportunities to support the PTA, Education Fund, and our Site Council. Your voice, opinions and involvement are always welcome.
